Welcome to the Kidney Community
Welcome to Our Struggle Is Renal – A growing space for polycystic/chronic kidney disease warriors looking to share community, support, resources, and "unfiltered" humor!
Here to make CKD less scary
Our Struggle Is Renal is here to make your kidney journey easier. It's our mission to:
- Make finding and sharing kidney information simple, clear, and fun
- Spread awareness, show support, and start conversations!
- Help kidney "bean baddies" and loved ones feel supported with renal/chronic illness-inspired gear and gifts
- Spreading organ donation awareness and share our story as a PKD donor and donation recipient family
-Represent millennial bean baddies in "PKD Unfiltered," a personal blog for sharing my 30's life with PKD, PLD, and PMDD
"Kidney-inspired gear, gifts, and goodies... with attitude."
> Tired of lame ribbon shirts? Me too.
> Want trendy alt wear that also spreads CKD awareness? Same.
> Need a PKD conversation starter top that's not itchy AF? I got you.
> Hate your chronic illness and want everyone to know? Wear it loud and clear.
> Want a sweet cozy crew to bring to dialysis this month? Say no more.
> Need a thoughtful recovery gift for your donation-survivor friend? Hell yeah.
> Support organ donation without sacrificing style? Win win!

Renal Resource Library
Your one-stop-shop library of "renal resources" to help make your renal journey easier! There's ALOT on the internet about our disease, but these are specific resources I've found helpful on my path so far and why. Happy browsing, bean baddies, and check back in for more!
When I get asked about PKD, often interested supporters are seeking an easy, straightforward way to show they care. Offering an option to "donate if they ever felt like they wanted to contribute to a cure" is an upbeat way to inspire positivity with people you talk to.
To avoid the headache of state-by-state donation regs, you can encourage supporters to instead register directly with the National Donate Life Registry. Another great support step for finding life-saving organs and future-changing medical science.
Follow the link above to find the walk "hot spot" nearest your community and mark your calendars for September! In 2026 it's my goal to attend my first PKD Awareness Walk. We'll be starting a OSIR donation team in Spring 2026, so stay tuned!
